Commercial growth

On-line shopping combined with Covid has created a shift away from traditional malls to more boutique style shopping. There will still be grocery store, Wal-Mart and London Drugs type of retail but large malls are a thing of the past and the adjustment is already underway. Look for more mixed-use development with housing above and commercial and office services below. Our challenge will be to ensure they are walkable, attractive and easy to get to, and sufficient parking especially in the downtown.
